Trusting my soulful imagination.

My most precious possession. The last thing I’d give up. Is my imagination. When put to good use. My imagination keeps me alive. And thriving.  Of course, imagination can be a detriment, too. Like an albatross hanging around one’s neck. A cause for anxiety. If I let it be.  Yes, all the more reason.  To take control of my imagination.  And steer it. In a way that makes my dreams come true.  To be or not to be.  To step into whatever role I choose.   Funny thing. I don’t always choose to be happy.  I want some sadness and sorrow. Because that’s a sign that I care. About others.  Yes. Yes. The only way to experience the ups and down of true love.  The best things of life weren’t meant to come easy. Or automatically. Better to be fulfilling. By embracing  and savoring the full gamut of life. I try to do that.  Every day. By trusting my soulful imagination.  --Jim Broede

A nice goal. For all.

A conscience. I’m always looking. For someone with a conscience. With an innate desire to do the right thing. Not afraid to look deeply. Into one’s soul. That’s what I want to be.  Isn’t that a nice goal?  For all. --Jim Broede

A feel good thought for the day.

Excessive wealth. That’s what I’m opposed to. It’s all right to love money. But I’m for taking some of it away. From what might be called the filthy rich. Let’s have significantly higher  tax rates for millionaires and billionaires. Then let’s use the proceeds for the common good. Yes. Redistribute the wealth.  To make life better for the masses.  I know. I know. This is a controversial topic.  With  political overtones.  But it needs to be addressed. Head-on. Imagine. Wads of that money. Being put to good uses. Not least, dealing with the rampant rise of diseases such as Alzheimer’s.  Just a thought for the day. That makes me feel good. --Jim Broede
