Nervous people. I know a bunch of ‘em. They often blame me for their being Nervous Nellies. Or Nervous Neds. That I provoke them. Ignite their nervousness. I tell them, that’s stupid. Baloney. That they have the ability to choose. Between being calm, cool and collected.  And being nervous. I don’t have the power to make anyone nervous. On my own, that is. They have to agree to become nervous.  Maybe I try to get them to face the truth. That they allow themselves to spiral out of control. They don’t like to hear that.  They blame me. Or someone else. But never themselves.  Maybe nervous people need to develop thicker skins. If they want, I’ll help. By taunting them. So they can practice. And become more like me. Cool Jim. –Jim Broede
