Sad, isn't it?

One in 5 white West Virginia voters said that race was an important factor in their vote in the Democratic primary election. Little wonder that white Hillary Clinton won handily over black Barack Obama. Yes, we still have pockets of racism in this country. The color of one's skin makes a difference. I am so surprised at your dwelling so, on the negatives!! Not many years ago, there would never had been 80% of voters who did NOT see race as a factor. Why not celebrate them?
BTW, approximately 25% of clinton voters claimed race as a factor, meaning 75% of hers did NOT feel that way.

Another BTW, Obama has taken approx. 99% of the black votes. How many of those voted racially?

How many women are voting for clinton simply because she is a woman?

I am a white, middle-aged,middle income, high school-graduated female. I would not vote clinton. I do not vote along party lines. I vote for who I think will do the best job. Traditionally, leaning toward Republican candidates, I am going with Obama this one.

What happened to Mr. Rainbows and lollipops? Anyone who ever said anything negative in the Alheimer's forum was smacked upside the head with your "focus on the positives" crap.

I find it interesting that JB is anonymous. Could some of the anonymous writer's in truth be the only and only???
Great way to flip flop and show both personalities.

Yes, Maebee, I like to dwell on what's wrong with America. Think of it, if Germans had dwelled more on what was wrong with Nazi Germany, maybe Nazi Germany would have gotten fixed from within. Maybe the racist Nazis would have been nipped in the bud. Who knows? Another thing, if 20 percent of the voters in West Virginia openly admit that they are racist, it causes me to wonder how many won't admit it. Few racists admit that they're racists. That's part of being a racist. As for blacks voting for a black, seems to me this is the first time the U.S.A. had a legitimate black candidate for president with a chance of winning. Think of it. We've had 43 presidents. And finally a black with a chance. Wasn't that long ago that blacks didn't even have civil rights. Didn't even have a right to vote. We've made some progress in this country. But it ain't enough. Not by a long shot. Racism is still rampant and entrenched in America. Personally, I want to do something about it. I think that's being positive. --Jim Broede

Thanks, dear Anonymous, for calling to my attention that the above post was originally posted at top as coming from anonymous. And at the same time it was signed by me. Don't know how that happened. A technical glitch. I guess if I don't sign in, my posting is listed as anonymous. Even when I sign my name to it. Automatically. I learn something every day. Sometimes, with the help of my readers. Thanks again. For the close scrutiny. You'd make a good editor. --Jim Broede, who ain't anonymous.
