Let's start from scratch.
Yes, we Americans are idiots. With short memories. Maybe we are all afflicted with Alzheimer's. We can't even remember yesterday and what got us into our unholy economic plight. It was the policies of the neo-conservatives. The Bushies. The Republicans. They spent us into bankruptcy. They gave us an unfettered form of capitalism. Pure greed. Made the rich richer. And the poor poorer. And now the lunatics on the fringe are blaming it all on Barack Obama and his socialist policies. Only a year after he inherited this debacle. Yes, we have short memories. And let's blame it all on Obama. Because he hasn't yet worked a miracle. Think about it. The Republicans want to regain power because they think capitalism wasn't given enough of a free rein. To exploit all of us. Yes, put 'em back in power. Let's have 'em finish the job. Wreck America once and for all. Completely. Then maybe we can begin to rebuild from the scrap heap. That's all we deserve. The death of a nation. Then let's start from scratch. Maybe we can do a better job of it next time. --Jim Broede

I look at the positive. The good thing was that Germany recognzied its tragic mistake. That the nation went insane under Hitler. And now Germany has rebult. Come back. Become sane again. Yes, it's possible to pick one's self off the scrap heap. And become sane and whole again. --Jim

I'm afraid you need to look further back, than your favorite pin cushion, Jim. The crisis of today was effected by the government of the DEMOCRATS, mandating the financial institutions to extend enormous amounts of credit to individuals and small businesses, who had no ability to pay it back. THAT is the root cause.
You need to stop watching and listening only to your liberal loonies, and get some real information. Either that, or stick your head back into that coccoon of yours, and be quiet.
As for Obama, he is trying, but not quite the right things, and at too fast a pace, to make a significant save. He needs to slow down, and pace himself, to create programs that are going to help everyone. His pushing things through, and manhandling the Congress is going to get a huge mistake pushed down our throats, and YOU will be one of the first to gag.
Actually, it started with George Washington, our first president. Everyone is at fault. Republicans. Democrats. Even the Whigs. We've been polluted and corrupted right from the start. Like I say. Let's start from scratch. --Jim
Actually, it started with King George. Actually it started Adam...actually it started with the Big Bang...yada, yada, yada....what is your I.Q? 00?
Fact of the matter is that things didn't start to go awry with King George or Adam or the Big Bang. But rather with our nation's founding fathers. They screwed it up royally. Everything was just fine before then. But we can fix it. With a new, modern-day constitution. --Jim
