Living in the land of sissies.
New Yorkers are being shown for what they really are. Sissies. Afraid to put suspected terrorists on trial in their city. For fear that might make their beloved city a target for a terrorist attack. My gawd. What have we come to? New Yorkers have allowed terrorists to intimidate them. Even the city's mayor has called for moving the trials out of New York. And across the nation, scaredy cat Americans are objecting to housing convicted terrorists in U.S. prisons. I guess there's a fear that they may escape and terrorize the hell out of America. You'd think that every terrorist is some sort of bogeyman. Too dangerous to keep anywhere on American soil. Even in our maximum security prisons. And many of our conservative politicians don't even want terrorist on trial in American civil courts. Preferring, instead, military tribunals. I guess the fear is that an American jury might exonerate a terrorist and set him free on American streets. Well, I'll tell you. We Americans have certainly been terrorized. Maybe we'd better check under our beds every night. To make sure a terrorist isn't hiding there. --Jim Broede

Hellloooo....THAT'S why they are called "TERRORIST"-a person who uses terrorism in the pursuit of political aims. I don't see how anyone has shown unreasonable fear. MOST Americans are wise enough to realize that terrorists are NOT "Boogeymen", because the terrorists are REAL. They want to kill us, simply because we are Americans.
They are not coming over here, and finding people who are actively seeking THEM out, and "killing before being killed". They are coming over here, and blowing up our citizens, Jim. People who are going about their daily lives, working, playing, loving, etc.
Of course there is a fear of escapees! Why not??? Why not re-open Alcatraz? Isolate the MFers. They should thank their lucky stars, that we have a justice system that could actually allow them to get away with their atrocities. Worst case, they get food and housing for life?? That's more than they gave their victims.
Hey, how about volunteering your kitchen for the trial?? You could even offer the bastards room and board! Better yet, why don't you start an effort to bring the trials to Minnesota??
Only good thing about all of this is that you are harmless. Nothing goes past this page, and very few see it. Probably good for you, when you think about it. Someone could track you down, and kick your un-American a**!
