She's elegant without high heels.

Italian women seem to have taken to high heels. It's the rage over here. And my true love suggests that the women look more elegant in high heels. So little wonder it's the fashion. But I argue that elegance is in the eye of the beholder. They don't look elegant in my eye. Instead, they look stupid. To torture their feet this way. High heels can't be comfortable. A smart woman, it seems to me, would dress for comfort. And to hell with extra height or elegance. My true love doesn't wear high heels. And she's barely 5 feet tall. And she looks elegant and beautiful. --Jim Broede
