I love being a lover.
I'm always looking for meaning in life. And if I can't find it -- well, then I make up meaning. I try to concoct a scenario I can live with. That makes sense. Yes, I create my own meanings. Far better than leaving that task to others. Maybe we all have to find our own meanings. Seems to me that I was put on Earth to be a lover. Foremost. And a romantic idealist, and a free-thinker, and a political liberal. I'm sure others were put here to be jerks. Which is all right. It takes all kinds. And I find it an interesting challenge to deal with jerks. Many jerks also happen to be Republicans. So you'll find me treating Republicans as jerks. Since they wanna be jerks, it's obvious to me that they want to be treated like jerks. So I become the obliging sort. Seems to me that Republicans are taking a stupid approach to life. I'd certainly want to be a nice guy. And therefore be treated like a nice guy. Occasionally, I become a jerk. To see what it feels like. And I don't like it. Because then people start treating me like a jerk. Which is understandable. Meanwhile, I've tested being a lover. And I sure like being treated like a lover. So that's what I am. At least most of the time. I'm these other good things, too. But generally speaking, it all comes down to being a good lover. I love being a lover. More than anything else. --Jim Broede
