A truly thankful American.

I don't like Mitt Romney. Though he might be a decent human being. Never met him. So I'm judging him from a distance. But that doesn't stop me from disliking the guy. I'm happy that he had a bad night. Losing the presidential election to Barack Obama. Mr. Nice Guy. Of course, I've never met Obama, either. I'm happy that he had a good night. Winning his second term as president. I would have been very, very sad if Romney had won. If that happened, I might choose to live in Italy permanently. Instead, I'll return to Minnesota next spring. Still proud to be an American. I haven't always been a prideful American. Felt sort of ashamed of my country when George Bush reigned as commander in chief. Romney has the potential to be far worse than Bush. Thank gawd, the American electorate won't give him a chance to prove it. I was a little nervous for a while on election  night. But it all ended well. And for that, I am a truly thankful American. --Jim Broede
