I could go on forever.

Olive groves and vineyards. Olive groves and vineyards. And more olive groves and vineyards. That’s the scenic view from the train through the south of Italy. From Bari on the Adriatic Sea to the inland villages of Matera and Alberobello.  Maybe a million olive trees. Though that might be an exaggeration. And maybe enough grape vines to wrap around the world. Makes me think of Italy every time I taste an olive or sip a fine wine. Oh, I saw more, too. The beautiful sky. The gathering clouds. Farmers in the field. Church bell towers. Reflections in the windows. Passengers of all descriptions. My beautiful Italian true love. Winding country roadways. Grazing sheep. Long stone and rock fences. Cobblestone streets. Green and brown fields. Colorful sunsets. Walls full of graffiti. Long-necked ostrich. Mangy dogs. Fat and thin cats. Regally uniformed carabineri.  Sad faces. Happy faces.  And oh, so much more. I could go on forever. –Jim Broede
