Letting the truth prevail.
I watch people deceive each other. And themselves, too. Don’t necessarily want to call them bold-faced liars. That’s too harsh. I want to be reasonably kind. Besides, I ain’t perfect either. Having more than my fair share of faults. Right now, from afar, from the sidelines, I’m watching a big game of deception. And there’s little I can do about it. Because if I butt in, it may very well do more harm than good. Therefore, I’m inclined to mind my own business. But it’s sad. A situation that may leave some of the players harmed. Emotionally. When they learn the truth about each other. And that’s the thing about deception. More often than not, the truth comes out. Seems to me honesty is generally the best course in human relations. Right from the beginning. That’s the way to build a solid foundation. I’m for venturing into the world naked. Letting it all hang out. Letting the truth prevail. –Jim Broede
