Learning to laugh over upsets.
I’ve learned how to not get upset. Or if I do, to get over it quickly. Know people who are chronically upset. Over trivia. Little things. One after another. They build a long chain of upsets. That’s their whole life. Being upset. I discovered that things I used to get upset over weren’t really important. Certainly, not important enough to be upset. Now I write ‘em off. Ignore ‘em. Makes for a better, more tranquil life. Now I spend time observing upset people. They’re entertaining. And I tell them so. Pisses off a few. But those with a sense of humor and smarts, soon learn to be less and less upset. They laugh off many of their upsets. Same as me. –Jim Broede
