So be it.

To tell the truth, I'd rather be a care-giver. Than the guy riddled with dementia. Ain't easy being a care-giver. But far easier than being saddled with Alzheimer's. I spent 13 years tending to my dear sweet Jeanne. My wife for 38 years. We went through some very difficult times. More difficult for Jeanne. Than for me.  But still. Upon reflection. It wasn't all that bad. We had many, many good years together.  And there could have been a fate far worse than Alzheimer's. I could have never met Jeanne. If Alzheimer's was the price for true love, so be it. --Jim Broede
