Yes, I'm a party-pooper.

There's a move afoot. To throw a big birthday party for my Alzheimer-riddled friend Ron.  That's an absurd idea. Promoted by Ron's daughter Julie. I tell Julie that Ron doesn't need a gala party. He'll be confused by all the folderol. And may not even know it's his birthday. The last thing Ron needs is to be confused by well-wishing, well-meaning but inept  party-goers. Instead, Ron needs one-on-one stimulation. Mentally and physically.  Only a handful of elite friends know how to treat and stimulate Ron. During his birthday week, it'd be better if they visit Ron. One at a time. That would make for a meaningful birthday celebration. Yes, I'm a party-pooper. For Ron's sake. --Jim Broede
