Lost art of human decency.
It’s time for the political right and left to acknowledge
each other. In respectful ways. Instead, they keep working at cross purposes.
Little wonder. They don’t get things done. It’s called gridlock. I’m for cultivating
political friendships. On both sides of the aisle. Treating each other fairly.
In the search for the common good. We’re Americans, aren’t we? Can’t we find common ground? Win-win agendas.
Everyone gets something. Compromise shouldn’t be a dirty word. Let’s have
polite debates. More movement. Toward the middle. In order to accommodate each
other. Let’s learn to be reasonable.
Let’s find ways to get along. Let’s
revive the lost art of human decency. In
the sadly sordid political realm.--Jim Broede
