Putting America first. That’s not a good idea. Before we know it, we’ll hear cries of Russia first, Italy first, Canada first. Every motherland and fatherland in the world will want to put itself first and foremost. Ahead of everyone else. Merely for the sake of national pride. I’d rather be a citizen of a humble country. Willing to consider the best interests of the global society. Only a conceited nation has to insist on putting itself first. Here’s the way I see it. No need to put myself or my country ahead of everyone else. Better to do the good and decent thing. After all, we’re in this world together.
