We lack the faith.

Seems to me that most religions are based. To a great and significant extent. On stuff that cannot be proved. Beyond a doubt. Therefore, one must rely on faith. Or fantasy. An overwhelming desire and willingness to accept as truth something beyond absolute scientific proof. Take the act of walking on water, for instance. One can do it in one’s dreams. But actually doing it. Performing the physical act. Well, that’s difficult. If not impossible. It’s alleged. That only one person has done it. But the proof is based on hearsay. Theoretically, you and I could do it. If we absolutely believed. That we could. But we don’t believe it. Not for a second. Otherwise, we could do it. Goes to show we aren’t absolute believers. At least, in our creator-given ability to walk on water. Boils down to one thing. We lack the faith. --Jim Broede
