No matter the disappointments.

Disappointments. Disappointments. My life has been full of disappointments. I hardly go a day without disappointments.  In myself. And in others. That happens. It’s part of the grand scheme of life. So, how do I deal with an immense number of disappointments? I try to take them in stride. And focus on the things that go right. That make me happy. I try to forget my disappointments. And get on with the rest of my life. Fact is, many of my disappointments are over trivial matters. Over which I used to lament. For prolonged periods. For instance, take the Chicago Cubs.  Blowing a lead in the 9th inning. As they did today.  Alas, I’ve learned to slough off such dire happenings. I even do it with Donald Trump. I’ve learned to accept the grand scheme that saddled us with the most incompetent president in American history.  A sleaze bag. There’s nothing I can do about it. Other than getting on with my unending pursuit of happiness. No matter the disappointments along the way. --Jim Broede
