A notch above us.

Don’t overrate me. I’m labeled as human. Like most of us. But speaking for myself. I’m really a sophisticated, top-of-the-line animal. Makes me feel superior. As an animal, that is. I’m less than human. As difficult as that may be. To admit. Most of us are ashamed to face the truth. We pretend to be human. To make us feel better. Face it. True humans are on a more lofty level than our animal species. Humans probably  exist. On other planets. In the vast infinite cosmos. But not here on Earth. Here. We live in an exclusive zoo. Designed for animals only. Possibly. We are being observed and analyzed. From above. By superior forms of life. Maybe even by real true blue humans. Grateful. That they're lucky to live a notch above us. --Jim Broede
