Give me a long, lingering ending.

That’s what I’m doing today. Savoring life. As if it’s a food. A delicacy. I’m in no hurry. I can take all day. All night, too. I see so many people. Around me. Scampering about and through life. Gorging. As if starved. I take it slow and easy. The way life was meant to be. In little tasty morsels.  With a sip of nectar. My friend. Leaves the table. Before I complete my dinner ritual.  I have hardly started. Pleasure is best. With a long, lingering ending. --Jim Broede
