Fair game for my penetrating eye.

Maybe I write too much. People tell me that sometimes. Because I pick up things. Little things. About their everyday life. Their habits. Their ways. Which they might like best left unrevealed.  But I’m out to reflect their real characters.  Even of my Italian true love. So the world can see. Nothing wrong with that. Because I’m putting her in a positive light. From  my perspective, that is. She might not always think so. But that’s the danger of living with me. I capture idiosyncrasies. They reflect the real person. And I’m obligated to recognize such stuff. And broadcast it. In my writing about people. Especially the people I know. As significant others in my life. Which also applies to some strangers. Really, everyone is fair game. For my penetrating eye. –Jim Broede
