I want Lawrence & Mozart forever

I’m dwelling on the life and death of D. H. Lawrence. He loved life. Evidenced by his novels and poems and essays. But at the same time, he seemed to have a death wish. Plagued by chronic bronchitis. And possibly tuberculosis in the last 10 years of his life. But he refused treatment. Which might have been able to prolong his life for another 10 or 15 years. Acted a little like a Christian  Scientist. Though he wasn’t.  Maybe Lawrence was in a state of denial. That some way, some how, he would always pull/come through.  Because he was on a mission. He had something to say. Thus, he kept writing. Coherently. Sensitively. Up to the day before he died. At age 44. Makes me wonder what else he would have written. If given the time. Another reason why I want there to be a spiritual realm. So that I can talk to Lawrence. And oh, yes, I want to listen to the music Mozart would have created. If he had lived forever. –Jim Broede
