My Dutch dentist.

I have a Dutch dentist in Italy. Seen him twice now in two years. Maybe it’s the Italian food. Hard-crusted bread. Chipped two porcelain crowns. One last year. One this year. My dentist is Rien Uitenbosch. He speaks very good English. Migrated to Italy about 25 years ago. From the Netherlands. He’s versatile. Does everything. Even root canals and tooth implants. That’s far more than my dentist back home in Minnesota. And dental work  costs me less in Italy. So if something goes wrong with my pearly white teeth, best that it happens here. Uitenbosch does a superb job. I’ve managed to keep all my teeth. Except for two wisdom teeth. But that’s all right. I have an ample supply of wisdom. And I’m getting even more from Uitenbosch. He’s a good conversationalist. Keeps my mind occupied in the dentist chair. And I need reply with only a grunt or two. As he works away. Painlessly. –Jim Broede
