To absorb where I'm at.

I like to dabble. In ideas. Just take a thought. And run with it. Sometimes for a short distance. A sprint. Other times for a long distance. A marathon. My blog is full of mostly sprints. But not the usual kinds. Slow sprints. Instead of fast ones. That’s my inclination. Do everything slow. Very slowly. I keep telling myself, there’s no hurry. But that annoys some people. They want life lived fast and quick. Suggesting that maybe I’m wasting time. That it’s good to get to one’s destination fast. Ahead of schedule. So that one can then get off to the next destination. Yes, without wasting time. But I don’t waste time. I put my time to good use. Resting. Taking care of myself. By proceeding at a leisurely and relaxed pace. Thing is, I’d rather reach three or four destinations in a span of time, rather than 100.   It really takes a long, long time for me to absorb where I’m at. –Jim Broede
