The good people were swept out by the tide.

Look at how Hitler came to power. So very many Germans were duped. Germans who prided themselves in the arts and education and culture. And they fell in line. And marched to the Nazi drumbeat. The goosestep. Well, so many Americans have done that. The war-mongers. They hate. They hate anybody who doesn't follow their party line. They think America is god's gift to humanity. It's a sick ideology. Right here in America. I hope it's not too late to right the ship. Bush is losing his popularity. Finally. But lord knows what may happen before he finally leaves office. He could trigger an attack on Iran. With our fancy weapons. He could bomb the hell out of Iran. On the pretext that Iran poses a future danger. And so many Americans sit idly by. Acting as if we can do nothing about it. Just like so many Germans. Germans who acquiesed when Hitler came to power. The good people were swept out by the tide. --Jim Broede
