Makes it possible to fall in love.
I like it when adults act like children. Children are still able to believe in fantasies. They still believe in the impossible. The unlikely. And then we grow up and become non-believers. I think that is what Jesus meant. We have to believe much as children believe. With faith. Unbounded faith. In love, for instance. But we grow up and we become cynical beings. We lose the romantic sense. And we become "realistic." We no longer believe in dreams. We lose touch with our spirits. And that makes it difficult to fall in love. We have to become believers again. We have to think, in some sense of the word, like children. I like it when a grown woman becomes a little girl again. And I like it when I become a little boy again. That makes it possible to fall in love. --Jim Broede
