He genuinely loves life.
I'm assuming that one can even find beauty and love in a prison. Locked up. It's a state of mind that counts. Nelson Mandela spent 17 years in prison. And I think he thrived. Because he turned inward. He groomed his spirit. He understood he was being wronged. But despite it all, he decided he would be forgiving. And look where it got him. I think of Nelson Mandela as one of the most inspiring people to ever live. Because he learned to love rather than hate. And where did he learn to love? Well, so much of the learning came in prison. He turned prison into a godsend. He became a free man, a free spirit when he was locked up. Physically locked up. My gawd. When I think about it, it sends chills up and down my spine. I would be honored some day to be standing in the same room with Nelson Mandela. This is a man of god. A man of spirit. This man is a lover. He genuinely loves life. --Jim Broede
