Living our eternal life now.

I must have 1,000 books neatly lined up on shelves and the floor in the attic above the garage. Just part of my vast book collection. My own little book store. I can browse through the shelves and lines of books. And pick out a book at random. Like I did today. "Nietzsche as Philosopher.' And I opened to a chapter on eternal recurrence. And got totally absorbed in it tonight. This idea of eternal recurrence is fascinating. Yes, live life as if you are going to live it over and over and over again. We are living our eternal life now. --Jim Broede

This comment has nothing to do with your clutter.

Opps!!!!!!

President Barack Obama said Friday that angry criticisms about his health care agenda are driven by an intense debate over the proper role of government — and not by racism.
(hmmmmm now what will we every do)

Time and again, Obama was asked about whether the tenor of the health care debate turned nasty because of undercurrents in racism. Former President Jimmy Carter raised the point prominently this week when he said the vitriol was racially motivated.

Not so, Obama said.

(Oh say it isn't so!)

To NBC News, Obama put it this way: "It's an argument that's gone on for the history of this republic, and that is, What's the right role of government? How do we balance freedom with our need to look out for one another? ... This is not a new argument, and it always evokes passions."
(Oh well I am sure Broede will as a twist and a turn and get it all back on the racist track again)

In his role as a politician, Obama is compelled to deny that none of this is racially motivated, Jack. Or not to comment at all. Think of the furor he'd raise if he said it's, at least in part, racially motivated. He's better off politically doing exactly what he did. Yes, he's an astute politician. And a smart guy, too. Jimmy Carter can speak more frankly. More candidly. Because he no longer holds office. That's an advantage of being a retiree. Much easier to spout off. Meanwhile, come and see how I have cleaned up the clutter and let in the light. I call it the C------- effect. Fill in the blank space with a name that's very wonderfully significant in my life. --Jim
