I'm getting a green door. A rather vivid green. For the main entry way to my house. I'd normally get a drab-colored door. But I got turned on to colorful doors when a friend showed me pictures of the doors of Dublin. The Irish capitol is known for its eye-catching doors. All colors of the rainbow. So I decided to do something different for a change. Now I want to go to Dublin. To open doors. --Jim Broede

Some people wonder why I post my own comments in the comments section. Well, because I feel like it. And I'm also trying to set an example of the type of comments that are welcome. A few of you submit nasty and vile and impolite comments, and they ain't acceptable. Clean 'em up. You can still disagree with me. But do it in a reasonably nice way. Somebody named Kumba has set a good example. She was critical of me. But she still got printed. Every single word. --Jim
Jim Broede, you are a no good bum. --Jim
Now there's an example (above) of someone being critical of me. Calling me a no good bum. I allowed that. If that same person had called me an asshole or a liar, I wouldn't have printed it. Because I'd consider that nasty and vile. And untruthful, too. --Jim
I also allow people to call me crazy. Because I consider that a compliment. --Jim
I have to go to Dublin. Just to see the doors. Now that's crazy, isn't it? But as long as I'm there, I'll see a lot more. My eyes will be wide open. I'll gawk, I'm sure. --Jim
Oh, I wish I were fluent in a 2nd, 3rd and 4th language. But I suppose that if I can reasonably master only one language, English is a good choice. It gets me by in many, many places in the world. More than would German or French or Italian. But speaking the native language certainly enhances the travel experience. Just think, if we all spoke the same language, we'd probably have a better world. Because it would improve communication immensely. --Jim
By the way, I think it's good to talk to one's self. --Jim
Some of my most intelligent conversations are ones I have with myself. With god, too. --Jim
I like to go off on tangents. That's why I may touch on the same subject for a while. Nothing wrong with that. --Jim
