We Americans must be among the most stupid people on Earth. We have problems. Serious problems. With health care, for instance. But we're too dumb to solve the problems. So we're learning to live with the status quo. We do nothing to change the system. To make it work. Instead, we spend more on a crappy health care system than any nation. And we keep getting less and less. Sounds rather stupid to me. --Jim Broede

The majority of Americans now see that it is wisest to put through a good, effective, realistic plan, rather than get one through at all costs, simply because one party or another developed it.
It seems that you may barely be affected by the current proposals, so of course you would side with your political party, no matter what.
I'm really not affiliated with a political party, per se. Maybe I'm a Democrat by default. I'm for anybody opposed to Republicans.And I'm certainly a socialist sympathizer. And proud of it. And I have an independent streak. And I like to bait people of all persuasions. --Jim
I think a public option, maybe Medicare for everyone, would be a good, effective, realistic plan. Don't you? --Jim
Certainly, broadening the scope of Medicare/Medicaid, but everyone doesn't need it, and shouldn't be forced from private options.
A good compromise would be to provide choices. Public options. Private options. --Jim
