Our gawd-given right to be idiots.

I'm living in the information age. I can go to my computer and ask virtually any question. And I'll get answers. Maybe not the right answers. But answers nevertheless. Makes me wonder if the information age is really the age of misinformation. Because we have so many answers to choose from. I have so many opportunities to get slanted news. I can choose liberal channels. Conservative channels. Kookie channels. Idiot channels. Golf channels. History channels. Art and entertainment channels. Sports channels. I'm not sure if it's good to have so many choices. Because it's being made too easy to be brainwashed. In limitless ways. I mean, for instance, if your thing is to be a brainless Republican, it's easily done. Just tune in the Fox Network on a regular basis. And start to believe everything you hear. One no longer has to think for one's self. We are constantly fed misinformation. Preposterous stuff. But we are free to believe whatever we want. So many of us choose to exercise our gawd-given right. To be idiots. --Jim Broede
