Just what we need: A team shrink.
My Chicago Cubs have hired a team psychiatrist. I think that's the best move the Cubs have made all spring. I've long advocated psychiatric help for the Cubs players. Baseball is very much a head game. A mental game. Players need good attitudes. And confidence. They have to believe that they can win. I don't want 'em to be over-confident. But they should take to the field with a bit of swagger. I have a feeling that the psychiatrist may become the team's most valuable player. --Jim Broede
