The opportunity to love. Again.

I am never disappointed for long. Because things always get better. Sooner or later. I think that's been the story of my life. Give everything time to work out. To evolve into something nice. Patience. That's the key. Used to be I didn't have all that much patience. I didn't want to wait for tomorrow. I have waited for almost 75 years to reach this stage of life. And it's been worth the wait. Oh, so many times I could have given up in frustration. I had to wait 30 years to finally fall in love. After 38 years, my love died. Of Alzheimer's. A big disappointment. But here I am. In love again. Maybe that's the best thing about life. The opportunity to love. Again. --Jim Broede
