The watch has sentimental value.

I have an old-fashioned watch. Ain't run by a battrery. Instead, it's supposed to wind automatically. By movement. When I swing my arm. Or flex my wrist. But every several days, the watch tends to stop. I assume from lack of movement. So I take the watch off. And shake it. And reset the time. And then it's good again for the next few days. I suppose I should give the watch a good shake daily. But I forget. I'm told that I should modernize. And get a battery-operated watch. One that just lasts and lasts and lasts. No need of having to waste the energy of a good shake. But I don't. Because the watch has sentimental value. --Jim Broede
