I choose the lesser of the evils.
We need multiple political parties in the USA. To give competition to the Democrats and the Republicans. We need far more than a third party. We need a fourth, a fifth, a sixth, a seventh, an eighth, etc. More and more points of view. Parties that are willing to work together to solve the nation's problems. The Democrats and Republicans aren't gonna do it. They merely stifle each other. Stop each other from accomplishing anything meaningful. Instead, they make us live with the same old crap all the time. It's like nothing ever changes. Special interests control both political parties. The communist countries crumbled because they only had communists running the show. In the USA, we have only capitalists running government. That ain't good. It's the same old same old. If we had multiple parties, with none getting anywhere close to a majority vote, that would be a blessing. Because then parties would have to form coalitions and cooperate in order to get things done. There would be much give and take. There's none of that under our two-party system. A total lack of cooperation. And I generally vote Democrat. But only because the Democrats are the lesser of two evils. --Jim Broede
