I ain't gonna miss television.
I have been introduced to American televsion in Italy. I had never seen an episode of 'Sex and the City' or 'Desperate Housevives' until I came to Sardinia. Lo and behold, no sooner did I turn on the TV, and there they were. But I really didn't understand what was going on. Because Italian was dubbed in. Apparently these two shows are going over big in Italy. But not with me. Other than watching American actors sounding like Italians. Kind of funny. Almost all of the imported TV shows and movies in Italy come dubbed in. The only exception I've seen so far is David Letterman. It has Italian subtitles. Anyway, it's easy and comforting to live without television. American-style or Italian-style. It's all pretty bad. Nothing that I'll miss. --Jim Broede
