Too strong to swig it down.

I'm not so sure there's such a thing as an Italian look. Physically speaking. As I walk down the streets in Sardinia, I look at the faces. And I wonder if they look Italian. Or would I see similar faces when I trek around in the USA? I really don't see much difference in the faces. I would if I were in China. But I'm in Italy. And this could be an American city. Based on faces. But not in architecture. It's different. Looks Italian. I'm well aware that I'm no longer in America. Just as well. I like what I'm seeing. For the most part. But one thing I've noticed. The restaurants. Unlike in America, one doesn't find a huge blend of different ethnic foods. I'd have to look long and hard to find a German restaurant. But I can find a pizza parlor in virtually every block. Coffee shops, too. When you ask for coffee, you are automatically served espresso. Used to be I wasn't a coffee drinker. But I drink espresso maybe twice a day now. I'm not addicted. But I like it. With a little bit of brown sugar. And I don't drink it as fast as Italians. It's served in a tiny cup and most Italians swig it down like a shot of liquor. Too strong for me to do it that way. --Jim Broede
