The old, old-fashioned way.
I cleaned and organized my true love’s refrigerator today. It was highly disorganized. She’s a paradox in some ways. She helps get me organized. In many ways. By insisting on this and that. And she’s a very good influence. But still, in some ways she’s highly disorganized. And does things in inefficient ways. For instance, would you believe she doesn’t have a microwave oven? Yes, it’s true. She goes the conventional oven route. Which is all right. But it’s nice to have a microwave. As a back up. When we need a quick warm up. Just for convenience and time-saving sakes. My true love also lives without a clothes dryer. I like it that she hangs stuff out. On lines out the balcony. Like do so many Italians. But hey, it’d be nice to have a dryer as a back up. On rainy days. And we’ve had a few of ‘em lately. So we have clothes drying in-house. And sometimes it’s nice and convenient to fluff up stuff in the dryer. I may just take it upon myself to go out and buy her a microwave and a dryer. Bring her into the modern age. I’m surprised that she doesn’t go down to the local stream to wash clothes out on the rocks. The old, old fashioned way. But we do have an automatic washer. –Jim Broede
