I know what's important.

Doesn’t matter if I’m disenchanted with the state of politics. Or the state of the world, in general. I’m still happy. To be alive. And in love with life. I’d remake politics. And the world. If I had the ability to do so. But I don’t. Instead, I only have the ability to be a lover. And really, that’s all I ever want to be. A happy lover. All the other stuff is secondary. Incidental. Used to be that I thought I could change politics and the world. But I was young. And naïve. Rather stupid, too. But now I’ve wised up. I know what’s important. The pursuit of happiness.
