An exciting and pleasant life.

I live an exciting life. Or so I think. Exciting in the sense that I’m happy. With the way things are going. I am what I’m trying to be. A romantic idealist. A free-thinker when it comes to spiritual matters. A political liberal. And a lover. And I split my time between living in Minnesota and Sardinia. I have an Italian true love. And I do a fair amount of traveling. In Europe. In Scotland. In Iceland. I’m sure that at 75 my life is winding down. I can’t have more than 10 or 15 years left. And I could just as easily drop dead tomorrow. If not today. That’s the nature of life. We each have only so much time. That’s why I try to consciously live one day at a time. And I mean really live. By savoring the little things. Doesn’t take much. Just feeling good. Being aware that I’m conscious. And able to think. And reason. And love. Yes, that makes for an exciting and pleasant life. –Jim Broede
