An inherent right to a job.
I’m for creating jobs. Millions of jobs. Putting the unemployed back to work. And if the private sector doesn’t create enough jobs – well, then it’s time for the public sector to step in. For local, state and federal governments to create jobs. There’s enough work that needs be done. Construction jobs. For improving the nation’s fast-deteriorating infrastructure. Teaching jobs. For improving the quality of education. Service-type jobs. For making a better life for all of us. When virtually everybody is working, incomes will begin to soar. More taxes will poor into the coffers. And private businesses will prosper. The entire economy will become buoyant again. That’s the way I see it. I’m the optimist. If I ever ran for public office, that would be my theme. My platform. My solution. More jobs. Jobs, jobs, jobs everywhere. Every American should have an inherent right to a job. –Jim Broede
