Kisses from Mother Nature and...
At first thought, no way would I have wanted to be out on the Mediterranean Sea yesterday. Not with the gale force winds. Whipping up the sea to a frenzy. The most fierce I’ve experienced in three winters in Sardinia. Didn’t seem so windy when my Italian true love got the whim. For us to drive to the seaside. An hour before sunset. She has an impulsive nature. Instead of a little walk around the block, we take to the seaside. An unexpected pleasure. Normally, it's a quiet sea. Soothing. But now Mother Nature was putting on a show. A spectacular. I’ve been on the sea before. In a sailboat. In the Florida Keys. On a calm day. But never on a sea like this. I’ve thought more about it. Yes, I really want the thrill of being on a rough sea. My true love already has. On a ferry boat. In the Indian Ocean. Off the coast of Zanzibar. She didn't get seasick. Yes, I’d take to the sea. Bravely. On a very, very windy day. For a double bonus. Kisses. From Mother Nature and my true love. –Jim Broede
