Learning to live deprived & happy.

It’s cold. By Sardinian standards. Down to about 40 degrees Fahrenheit today. With a brisk wind. The coldest day of winter so far.    But don’t tell me that’s cold. Back in Minnesota, we’d call it a mild winter day. An early sign of spring. And revel in it.  This is my third winter in Sardinia. And I have yet to experience a freezing temperature. Or snow. Makes me feel deprived. But that’s life. I’ve learned to put up with deprivation. And still live happily.  –Jim Broede
