Don't hurt to do a double wash.

Love to do two things at once. Manual  labor. And thinking. About things. Maybe about what I’m gonna write about in a few minutes. Maybe that’s why I enjoy manual labor. Vacuuming the house. Doing dishes. Making the bed. Any kind of labor. Even digging ditches. Or carrying 50-pound sacks. Exercise is good. For the body, the soul, the spirit. Mental and physical exercise going on simultaneously. That’s the best. Some of my best ideas come when walking. Vigorously. Or jogging. I’m not running the 7-minute  mile anymore. But I’m peddling 22 miles an hour on my stationary bicycle and reading a book at the same time. Oh, I also advocate being focused on one thing. Often, when doing  two things. Like thinking while taking a shower. Sometimes, I forget if I’ve washed my hair. Because other thoughts were more paramount. But that’s all right. Doesn’t  hurt to do a double wash. –Jim Broede
