In a cesspool. And can't climb out.

I’m opinionated. But come to think of it, I don’t have opinions about lots of things. Not real opinions. I may take stands. Just to test myself. To determine if I really believe what I’m saying. Or to draw out other people. They may counter. And convince me right off the bat that I’m wrong. Nothing wrong with stirring discussion. Becoming the devil’s advocate. So, really, I may not be as opinionated as I seem. But doesn’t bother me to be perceived as very, very opinionated. Even stupidly opinionated. By acting like a Republican. That’s difficult for me to do. Makes me feel gross. Like I’m in the gutter. Or in a cesspool. And can’t climb out.   –Jim Broede
