This ain't winter.
I’m being cautioned today. That it’s cold outdoors. Very cold. And that maybe it’d be best to stay indoors. But that if I go out, bundle up like an Eskimo. That’s the way my Sardinian true love sounds. Because the temperature has dipped to near 40 degrees. And there’s a wind chill. Of course, I’m not buying into all this cautionary stuff. It’s silly. In Minnesota, where I come from, any day when it doesn’t freeze – well, that’s considered summer. A grand and glorious time. Certainly, no reason to fret. I’ve just returned from an eight mile walk. Outdoors. And I’m sweating. A little too warm for me. Despite the light jacket. I refuse to consider this winter. –Jim Broede
