Thank god, I've eluded the plague.
People not knowing how to take care of themselves. Maybe that’s the most overlooked malady. They neglect their physical, mental and emotional health. I see it all the time. Day in and day out. And when that happens, they are in no position to take care of others. They often are irritable and despondent and downright tired. Makes for less than a good disposition. I see it in people’s faces. Pedestrians on the street. Store clerks. Laborers. Disgruntled. Glum. They ain’t happy. That’s for sure. Maybe it has something to do with the economy. But I even see it with rich people. Monetarily secure. But still, they don’t take care. Something is wrong. Makes me wonder if the disease is contagious. Thank god, I haven’t caught it yet. –Jim Broede
