Neither a puppet or a puppeteer.

Asking myself what I really want to be. That’s how I go about life. Then I take affirmative actions. To support my instincts. I go on missions. To become a romantic idealist, a spiritual free-thinker, a political liberal, a lover, a dreamer, and more. Makes me, in my opinion, a well-rounded and balanced individual. Unique, too. Doesn’t matter what other people think. I’m free. To be me. No restrictions. No limits. The same goes for others. They are free to create themselves. Not everyone does. Many allow others to take charge. To manipulate. To rob people of the freedom to create themselves. Therefore, they are turned into puppets. Doing the bidding of the puppeteer.  The puppets no longer think for themselves. Indeed, that’s abhorrent. Little wonder that I resist. I want to be neither a puppet or a puppeteer. –Jim Broede
