A way to play god.

I’d like to write short stories. About people I know. Making them the protagonist.   Not sure where I’d take each story. Or each protagonist. I’d just let the stories develop. Unfold. Naturally. Not sure if the endings would be happy or unhappy. Or maybe somewhere in between.  The nice thing about it all, as a writer, I could play god. Do with them whatever I want to.  They would be under my control. To be fair, I’d need to cultivate a sense of where they really are going. Or is it the way I wished they would go?  Might make quite a difference. I wish everyone a happy ending. But in real life that doesn’t always happen. –Jim Broede
