Now. Now. Now. My forever.

Probably not a nice way to die. Then, maybe there is no nice way. But I’d prefer not to kiss the world goodbye in a plane crash over the South China Sea. Must feel horrific on the way down. Fortunately, I’d die of fright. In the first moment.  If I had time to think, it’d be a declaration, ‘What’s going on? Is this for real?’ Now, as I imagine it all, and if I had a choice, it’d be to go instantly. To have no time to think. Like a light switch going off. Better than a long, lingering death. Meanwhile, I’m resolved. To fully live today. To appreciate and savor life. Now. Now. Now. My forever. –Jim Broede
