If I were god, one of my favorite refrains would be, “Don’t
blame me.’ I’d not want responsibility for creating the world. Because I left
everything to chance. What will be, will be. Really, I created the world mostly
for my personal entertainment. To observe. Sad stuff. Happy stuff. All kinds of
stuff. It’s like going to a theater. To watch a play unfold. A play without a
script. Everything evolving. Naturally.
And often unexpectedly. I’d not want to know the plot ahead of time. Better to
keep guessing. That adds to the entertainment value. If I had authored the
play, it would be boring. For me. Because I’d know what’s coming next. I don’t want to know. I simply don’t want the
responsibility. For creating the world. Or a play. Please, don’t blame me. I’m
only a mere god. In search of entertainment. –Jim Broede
